Memphis Bleek – Round Here ft. T.I., Trick Daddy

Rapper Memphis Bleek made his recording debut in 1996 on Jay-Z’s Reasonable Doubt. He was born and raised in the Marcy Projects housing complex in Brooklyn, New York. Bleek, who is signed to Roc-A-Fella Records, released Coming of Age as his solo album in 1999. Even though his debut was well worth the attention, he was unable to cash in on the excitement that surrounded it, leading to an unimpressive album that fell short of many people’s high expectations and was largely driven by the lead single, which was produced by Swizz Beatz.

Bleek’s high-profile collaboration with Jay-Z on the “Hey Papi” single from the Nutty Professor II soundtrack and its Hype Williams-directed video (which included a cameo by Pamela Anderson) coincided with the release of his sophomore album, The Understanding, in late 2000. Alongside this striking marketing gimmick, The Understanding’s lead track, “Mind Right,” was released shortly after. In 2003, he released his third album, M.A.D.E., and in 2005, he released 534.
