MO3 & OG Bobby Billions – Outside

Rapper MO3 of Dallas rose from the Northside of the city with candid and unapologetic images of life on the streets. His slow-burning approach and booming flows were matched with streetwise lyricism on songs such as Shottaz 3.0 and 4 Indictments from 2017. Just when his career was taking off after the release of his collaboration with Boosie Badazz in 2020, MO3 was shot and killed in November of the same year. Early in the next year, Shottaz 4Eva, a posthumous record, was made available.

Reloaded Shottaz
Melvin Noble gave birth to MO3 in 1992. His 2014 mixtape Shottaz served as his rap debut. Based on that work, he gained local recognition and signed a contract with Texan rapper Boosie Badazz, who was his idol. Shottaz Reloaded, the follow-up to his debut, was released at the end of 2015. “Hold Ya Tongue,” one of the album’s tracks, went on to become a moderate hit for MO3, garnering about two million streaming views in the year after its publication. Reloaded climbed to number two on the Heatseekers chart after peaking at number 14 on the Billboard Rap chart. His follow-up, 4 Indictments, debuted in late 2016 and quickly shot to the top of the Heatseekers chart in the early months of 2017. In 2017, he also released the mixtape Gangsta Love, Pt. 1.

MO3 Badazz
One of MO3’s greatest successes to date, the cautionary “Errybody,” which also garnered millions of streams, was featured on his 2018 release Shottaz 3.0. He mostly released singles the next year, such as the stormy “Too Much Pride” and the Aaliyah-sampling “No Feelings.” He collaborated on the mixtape Badazz MO3 with legendary Louisiana rapper Boosie Badazz in February 2020. The project debuted at number 136 on the Billboard 200 chart quite soon. That year, on November 11, MO3 became caught up in a car chase on a busy Dallas freeway. He crashed his automobile after being chased by another car, and an unidentified gunman shot and murdered him as he tried to escape. His label H$M/Empire released a posthumous MO3 album named Shottaz 4Eva early in the following year.
