Rapper Money Man, located in Atlanta, delivers quiet, measured stories about hustle and life on the streets over trap music. He has maintained control over his career by choosing to go independent rather than sign with a major label. He has released multiple mixtapes and achieved success with 2019’s “Paranoia,” which peaked at number 40 on the Billboard 200 chart. With 2020’s Epidemic, he reached the Top 40 once more, and with 2021’s Blockchain, he nearly made the Top Ten. With releases like 2022’s Big Money and 2023’s CROPTOBER, he continued his prolific pace.

Prolonged Money
Money Man, who was reared in Decatur, Georgia but was born in New York City, tried his hand at becoming a rapper in the early 2010s but took a break for a few years to take care of his financial situation. He had a huge comeback in 2016 when he dropped three Black Circle mixtapes with guest appearances from Young Thug, Akon, Gucci Mane, and other artists. This earned the rapper a sizable fan base. He released two more mixtapes the next year, Secret Society and 24 Hours. With the release of five more mixtapes, including Grow God, 6 Hours (Pts. 1 & 2), TraumaMan, and the Winter EP, 2018 turned out to be Money Man’s most productive year to date. He released the massive 25-track full-length album Paranoia in 2019, and it peaked at number 40 on the Billboard 200 album chart. He made a comeback with the joint mixtape Long Money, which he co-produced with Atlanta rap mainstay Peewee Longway, before the year was out. Young Dolph and Kamaiyah made appearances on the 20-song compilation as well.

An emergency situation
Money Man dropped a short mixtape called Epidemic in 2020 that made references to the COVID-19 pandemic. State of Emergency, another mixtape released that year, peaked at number 56 on the Billboard 200. November 2021 saw the debut of blockchain, which peaked at position 13. The EP Whale Games and the full-length Big Money, featuring appearances by Benny the Butcher, Nardo Wick, and G Herbo, were released by Money Man in 2022. In October, there was a short version called Blackout and then a longer one called Blackout: The Sequel. Money Man released the album Red Eye in its entirety in 2023. Juney Knotzz, Peezy, and Babyface Ray made cameo performances on the album. By year’s end, two further releases—Catch Me If You Can and CROPTOBER—arrived.
