Rapper Symbadove, who was raised in a difficult environment and is now located in Los Angeles, was inspired by everyone from JAY-Z to Steve Jobs and Steve Stoute. As early as 2010, he headlined early Los Angeles performances on boards with artists like YG, Tyga, and DJ Mustard after a string of collaborations with Young Curt took off in the Bay. During his recording career, Symba faced financial difficulties.

However, he eventually made the acquaintance of producer and buddy Nic Nac [Chris Brown, Kevin Gates], who urged him to relocate to Los Angeles. He made waves in the City of Angels in 2015 when he dropped the 2 More Words mixtape, which featured joint projects with artists like IamSu and Marc E. Bassy. Hypebeast called it “a fiery collection of songs balancing club-ready hooks with deft, incisive narratives,” in addition to XXL’s acclaim. His perseverance paid off, as he signed a brief contract in 2017. The following step was prompted by a meeting with producer Cas.

2019 saw him signed by Atlantic Records after they were impressed by his early demos. His single “Serve” now captures a significant occasion. With this “Hustling Song,” he describes in vivid verses his first experiences trapping, taught by his uncle, over a retro bass pattern and guitar buzz. It paves the way for a ton of things in 2020, such as his first release, Don’t Run From R.A.P.
